The existing house, in a terrible state of disrepair, was reimagined as a functional and modern home with traditional details including an accessory dwelling.
Street-facing façade of the house was designed to embrace the colonial village character of Tarrytown. The kitchen is strategically oriented to a light-filled backyard and patio. Three large bedrooms and two bathrooms are efficiently laid out to maximize the building footprint.
The thoughtfully laid out kitchen with contemporary and colonial design elements takes advantage of the sunlit backyard.
The upstairs attic was converted into a spacious bedroom. To maximize energy efficiency, closed cell insulation was provided throughout the home. A high-performance ducted, multi-zone heat pump system provides year round comfort and reduced energy costs.
